1 skein Plymouth Baby Alpaca Grande (100g/220yds)
US size 8 (5mm) knitting needles
Yarn needle

16 sts and 20 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Finished Size

Approximately 15 inches around and 6 inches tall

Instructions

Cast on 72 stitches.
Knit in stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row) for 4 inches.
Begin decreasing for the crown. Knit 12, *k2tog, knit 10; repeat from * around.
Knit the next row.
Repeat rows 3 and 4 until there are 12 stitches remaining.
Cut the yarn, leaving a 6-inch tail. Thread the tail through the remaining stitches and pull tight to close the crown.
Weave in any loose ends.
